Plaited Grass Bugs

The plaiting of palm fronds and grasses is an Indonesian cottage craft. These insects are an especially pleasant item to make while hiking with a group of school children (or adults who are acting like children). They dry well and may be displayed artistically on dried plants or hung from a string as a mobile or tree decoration. This class requires some concentration and focus, but once mastered the imagination can blossom.
