Papered Eggs

These are real eggs, blown out, dried and covered with handmade Japanese papers. This picture shows these papers--and there are many--that are very strong when wet. The papers are cut carefully to fit around the egg, glued with rice paste, smoothed and then lacquered. Amazingly strong, they make terrific decorations. This is a great , colorful class for kids or adults.
