Rosebeads

Rose petals can also be cooked, beaten (just as in paper making) and formed into beads. Rose petal beads may be strung into rosaries; and, since they are fragrant, may be enjoyed for years for their perfume. This rose petal paste is a by-product of making rose oil or rose water. It is a very easy class to hold provided you have roses in your yard that have not been sprayed or otherwise exposed to chemicals. It is a very fetching process and although I cannot document that it is ancient, I suspect that it may well be.
